Orgasmo Sonore first 4 albums from 2011 to 2015 were dedicated to modern re-interpretation of cult film soundtracks and Library music, curating the work of composers like Ennio Morricone, Bruno Nicolai, John Carpenter or François de Roubaix which allow them to build a worldwide audience into the community of soundtrack collectors and genre films fans. The project, led by multi-instrumentalist and producer Frank Rideau, had built a live performance concept backed with visual movie manipulations of artist VJ n.Code which they played at different film festivals and in the US.
The first original album Themes International (Cineploit Records, 2016) is featuring 12 original compositions and has its roots into the exotic world of Eurotica films, Italo-horror and psychedelic eastern music with titles such as Giallo, Turkish Psych, Erotische, Vampyros Lesbos or Spaghetti Western. The result is a sonic trip to a groovy musical universe of cinematic sounds.
Latest works have been available in digital format on Bandcamp and include The Principal Point of Autocollimation (2018), Climax (2020) and Sounds in the Night (2022). These albums feature a broad range of influences from the obvious erotic soundtrack music to dub, exotica, funk, cinematic soul and instrumental beats.
Now Orgasmo Sonore is available again on vinyl, courtesy of Farfalla Records with its 7″ series of library music influenced artists.
