Coming into view like a sweet slice of disjointed, lo-fi, 8 bit space disco, Pleasurewood’s latest single ‘Mojave Desert‘ is a slacker-strut with telephone vocals, dub guitars, cosmic synths and futurist Farfisa organ.
Driven by an Acid Jazz meets Post Punk Bass line, the song is autobiographical in it’s account of an excursion along the 29 Palms Highway reflecting an escape from the city of Angels not so far away up into the stark psychedelic realm of the Mojave Desert.
The single also features a head-nod inducing remix from the Funky B-boy specialist Smoove and a 606 electro dance floor ready remix by Tendaji/Donje.
